Pickup & Drop at Bagdogra Airport
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport, where you’ll be greeted and assisted with your transfer to Phuentsholing. Relax and settle into your hotel as you prepare to begin your Bhutan adventure. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
After breakfast, complete your permit formalities and visit the serene Kharbandi Gompa or Milarepa Lhakhang. Embark on a journey through lush mountains and tranquil landscapes, stopping at Gedu (9,000 ft) for panoramic views of Chukha Dam and a photo stop at the Wankha Waterfalls. Arrive in Thimphu and check in at your hotel. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Start your day with a drive to Dochula Pass (3,150 m) for mesmerizing views of the Himalayan peaks. Continue to Punakha to visit the iconic Chimi Lhakhang, the picturesque confluence of Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers, the majestic Punakha Dzong, and the Suspension Bridge. Discover Thimphu’s cultural gems: the National Memorial Chorten, Simply Bhutan, Buddha Point, Tashichho Dzong, Takin Zoo, and the Zorig Chuzom School of Traditional Arts. Drive through the scenic Wangchu River Valley to Chuzom, the hub of Bhutan’s roadways. Follow the Pa Chu River to Paro, passing the Tachogang Temple en route. Overnight stay in Paro.
After breakfast, proceed for the trek to the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), passing through scenic pine forests and enjoying panoramic views of the Paro Valley; after completing the trek and visiting the monastery, return to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure, followed by an overnight stay in Paro.
Early in the morning, explore Paro town and nearby attractions such as Paro Rinpung Dzong, the National Museum, and the local market (time permitting); later, drive towards Phuntsholing, check in to the hotel on arrival, and relax, with an Overnight stay in Phuntsholing.
